Spybot has been over run by better malware programs such as Spyware Terminator, Threatfire and newer antivirus programs that go well beyond signature detection only such as MSE, Panda Cloud Antivirus, and RISING AV.
i find this a great program, but it does take a while to get used to it.
i install it on all my friends computers and just tell them to use steps
1 download updates, 2 click immunize shield 3 click immunize green cross on top bar, wait until the two totals are the same i.e. protected total 4 run scan. delete all items found. it can save you a great deal of heartache in the long term
